A Truly Trashy Happy Hour
Ballard Neighborhood Clean-Up - March 7th, 2024
Like many Seattleites, I’ve become increasingly frustrated with the growing piles of litter on our city’s streets and sidewalks.
I don’t know why city services haven’t been able to keep up with the trash, but complaining about it isn’t fixing the problem. I’d like to put my frustration toward something productive.
On Thursday, March 7th, I’m organizing TPC’s first neighborhood clean-up day in Ballard. The premise is simple. We’ll spend an hour picking up as much trash as we can near our building. We’ll fill my truck with bags and I’ll take them to the North Transfer Station. After the clean-up we’ll wash our hands and enjoy happy hour at Reubens!
If the event is well received, we’ll schedule regular cleanups in all three of our neighborhoods.

The first cleanup will be on Thursday, March 7th from 4pm - 5pm
Meet in front of TPC Ballard
Happy hour at Reubens to follow 5pm - 6pm
TPC will have gloves and bags but if you have your own, please bring them!
