We’re back with a full slate of news to peruse!

Every fourth Friday from July to October, the market stays open late for “a free…evening series celebrating local art, music, food, and creativity after the daytime shoppers have gone home.” There are two left in 2026, Friday, September 25th and a special Dia de los Muertos celebration on Friday, October 23rd.

Final Paddle Rave of 2026 - Witch Edition

TPC Member Erik Hillesheim has been putting in the work all summer getting Seattleites out on the water to dance and meet each other. Over 700 people are already signed up to attend the final paddle rave of 2026 and you can join them. The WITCH PADDLE RAVE will feature local Seattle DJs Fame Sounds, N8VBOY, and Average Citizens.

An inspiring short film about legendary architect Jim Olson of Olson Kundig. Even if you aren’t into architecture, watch it for the beautiful shots of Seattle and the PNW.

We’re squeezing the last drops out of the baseball season

Last week, we watched the Tacoma Rainiers thump the Chihuahuas of El Paso and we’ll be taking a group of more than 20 to T-Mobile next Tuesday to watch the slumping M’s take on their hated rivals, the Houston Astros.

NEIGHBORHOOD SPOTLIGHT

Myrtle Edwards Park

Melinda French Gates, MacKenzie Scott, and others, contributed $56 million to renovating and maintaining this waterfront park north of Belltown and it’s a gem. If you’re a runner or a biker, it’s a great place to include in your route from TPC Belltown, Ballard, or West Canal Yards

Improvements include:

  • New seating

  • Children’s play areas

  • Cafe Hagen open 7 days a week

  • 74,000 new plants

  • Improved bike and walking trails

  • Expanded beaches

  • Restrooms

  • Protected greenway connection from the Olympic Sculpture Park to Pier 62

OPEN SPACES

Introducing Part-time Private Offices!

Recently we’ve spoken to a lot of people who want a closed-door experience, but only need it a few days per week. To address this use case, we’ve created a new membership tier! Part-time private office members will get 30 access hours per month to a fully private office and 24/7 access to communal coworking.

Memberships start at $625 / month

DON’T READ THE COMMENTS

I was originally going to include this article about Unico selling Tacoma’s tallest office tower in the NEWS section, but the comments were better. I reached out to Dennis Daugs but he declined to comment further.

Eating

Alexandra’s Macarons: The best brunch I’ve had in a long time. The savory waffles and heirloom tomato tartine were a hit.  (Kody)

Reading

Fruit Fly by Josh Silver: There’s a reason this book has been backordered in the US all summer. Darkly funny and fast paced; I couldn’t put this one down. (Kody)

Dungeon Crawler Carl Series by Matt Dinniman: I’ve finally given in to the hype and can report that this is one of the most fun reads I’ve had in a while. Big fan of Princess Donut. (Kody)
