Hours: 40 hours per week, on-site
Compensation: Hourly, starts at $24 per hour + commuter benefits + health insurance
Location: Seattle, WA (Ballard and Belltown)
Growth Opportunities: TPC prefers to promote from within. An experienced Ops Associate will build the skills to fill a Community Manager role when one comes available. Community Managers are in charge of each location of The Pioneer Collective.
What We Are Looking For
This is an entry-level position. No experience is necessary, but come willing to learn. Applicants will be working in a coworking space, performing a variety of operational tasks and customer-facing work. We value individuals that bring energy, enthusiasm, and attention to detail to the workplace. Our staff is outgoing, approachable, communicative, and always learning, and we are looking for candidates share these traits. Past coworking, hospitality, or service industry is a plus but not required.
Role Description
The TPC Community Operations Associate will be responsible for creating & maintaining a welcoming, professional environment for both members and guests. They will work with the Community Manager to create a thriving coworking environment by performing closing duties, day-to-day business tasks, and working with customers to solve problems and and answer questions.
Training
Trainees will build competencies on the job, working with the community manager at their location to add new skills and responsibilities each week. The full training rotation will usually take about two months and areas of focus will be organized into 5-6 modules:
Week 1 - Business basics, opening and closing duties, customer tours
Week 2-3 - Facilities, systems and software
Week 4 - Mail service operations, inbox management
Week 5-6 - Conference room bookings, management
Week 7-8 - Customer interaction, issue resolution
Required Skills
Good interpersonal & communication skills
Organized, punctual, & attentive to details
Ability to work as both a part of a team & independently
Skilled in time management
Eager and able to learn
Past coworking, hospitality, or service industry is a plus
Primary Responsibilities
Closing duties
Warmly greeting members & guests
Creating transition reports for supervisor at the end of shifts
Keeping coffee fresh & kitchen clean
Meeting room rental setup & breakdown
Touring potential members & clients
Email: Answering customer emails and communicating with coworkers
Mail processing
Basic troubleshooting
Solving customer issues and answering questions
Assisting with events
