Case Study

Eltech & Chevron - Electrical Codebook Training

Eltec and Chevron perform a training session over video-conferencing at TPC Seattle.

Eltech came to TPC in March of 2020 in need of a solution. They were contracted to deliver three weeks of in-person training to Chevron employees on the electrical codebook but were no longer able to travel due to the Novel Coronavirus.

The instructor wanted a virtual classroom environment that was as similar to his on-site setup as possible, to minimize the need to learn new technologies. He needed to present using Chevron’s WebEx license, Powerpoint presentations, digital polling, a document camera to highlight pages of the codebook, and whiteboards to draw diagrams for the class.

We transformed our video enabled conference room into a virtual classroom that allowed the instructor to seamlessly transition between an HD livestream of him teaching in front of a whiteboard to a powerpoint presentation, to a live feed of his codebook and back with just a click of the mouse. All hardware and software was provided by TPC.

Eltech fulfilled their contract and Chevron met their training requirements, with over 50 employees trained over three weeks.
