The Pioneer Collective Launches New Meeting Venue and Work Club at West Canal Yards

SEATTLE, WA — August 10th, 2025 — The Pioneer Collective (TPC), a Seattle-based coworking operator, is excited to announce its newest location at West Canal Yards in Seattle’s North Interbay neighborhood. The space will open in the fall of 2025 and house a large meeting venue as well as a membership-based coworking club.

Designed for both structured gatherings and spontaneous work sessions, the new location will offer a flexible environment for offsites, workshops, and day-to-day focus work.

West Canal Yards, designed by Graham Baba Architects and developed by Unico and Ocean Beauty Seafoods, is an ambitious adaptive reuse project that has transformed a long unused fish cannery and cold storage facility into a thriving ship terminal with a diverse mix of retail, food & beverage, and office space. The project will serve as an official watch site for the 2026 World Cup.

“We got into this business because we like creating special spaces that improve peoples’ experience at work," says CEO Christopher Hoyt. “We are increasingly presented with uninspiring and impersonal experiences in both our digital and physical lives. We were drawn to West Canal Yards because it is very much positioned against that trend. It is a moonshot project designed to bring people together in an environment that is quintessentially Seattle. We’re excited to take part in making it one of the city’s best places to gather and work.”

The Meeting Center
TPC’s meeting center will feature large bookable rooms for offsites, strategy sessions, professional development, and team events. With capacity for up to 50 people, these flexible spaces will be equipped with high-speed internet, videoconferencing, 4K displays, whiteboards and fully equipped for hybrid presentations and live-streaming. The spaces will be targeted to growing teams, established companies, and independent facilitators.

A membership will not be required to book rooms, though the location will be available to TPC Gold Club members, who will receive preferential rates and perks with all bookings. On-site parking is available as well as easy access to transit.

The Coworking Club
The work club space will serve as a focus place for remote workers. Members who need to finish an important project or find a place to get inspired will benefit from a welcoming and productive alternative to working from home or the neighborhood café.

  • Full time memberships launch at $199 per month

  • Day passes available for $25

  • Early adopters rate of 25% off for first 50 members up to a year

Additional amenities include:

  • Private phone booths and breakout spaces

  • Fresh local coffee and curated retail offerings

  • Bike parking, showers, fitness center, nursing suite

This opening will expand TPC’s regional footprint to four locations, joining spaces in Belltown, Ballard, and Tacoma.
