The Sacred Lunch

Our on-site team members work hard and wear many hats. We pride ourselves on providing thoughtful customer service and employing real humans who care. For years we ran ourselves ragged, never taking breaks and eating lunch at our desks so we didn’t miss a phone call or a customer request. Ultimately, this proved to be an unsustainable approach and was bad for both the member and employee experience.

We learned from our mistakes and decided to take a lesson from the French by instituting a sacred lunch. No matter how busy the day is, our community manager is required to take a lunch break off-site and go completely offline. While this means we may miss some customer requests in the moment, ultimately the team comes back more refreshed, happy, and effective.

If you happen to call during this time, you will likely get voicemail. If you stop by the desk, you’ll be greeted with a “gone to lunch” sign. Please leave us a note, message, text, or an email. We will get back to you promptly when we’re back from lunch.
